The Center party opposed a Palestinian state between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.

Peace Process

The Oslo Accords should be considered a failure and the current Palestinian leadership must not be considered a partner for negotiations.

Jerusalem

Jerusalem must remain the united, eternal capital of the State of Israel

Israeli Communities in the Territories (Settlements)

The Center party will work to strengthen the communities in the territories.

Demographic Issues

The Center party will work to encourage Jewish emigration to Israel

Economy & Social Welfare

Strongly supports assistance to pensioners, the unemployed and home owners facing difficulties in mortgage payments as a result of increased interest rates stemming from political instability.

Religion & State

Issues of religion and state must be resolved through mutual understanding and not through coercive legislation. The Center party supports the induction of the ultra-orthodox into the army or at least some form of national service.
